HOW TO TAKE YOUR DOG'S MEASUREMENTS:
Please measure your dog carefully before purchasing and refer to the size chart to ensure you choose the best size for your dog. Please do not measure too tight.

CHEST BELT: Measure your dog around the chest, at the widest point, which is usually behind the front legs.

NECK: The neck measurement is taken around the dog's neck, where the collar would naturally be located.

LENGTH: The measurement of the length of the back is taken from the base of the neck (where the neck sits) to the beginning of the tail (not to the tip of the tail).

Note: Chest circumference is the most important measurement.

A few things... 1. I originally bought the size Medium as it should have fit my dog considering the size chart, but it actually did not. So then I had to spend money, again, to buy the large size. The pattern itself turned out nicely when made, but I really wish it would be sold as one multi-sized pattern as most patterns are sold... I feel ripped off since I had to buy the same thing twice to get a larger version. 2. A small constructive criticism: include fabric yardage in the patterns. I had no idea how much I needed so I bought a yard of fabric, which turned out to be way too much. Having yardage will help the sewist understand how much to buy so we won't have to overbuy. Otherwise, the instructions were easy to follow and the shirt turned out great!
